Awareness

  • Create a roster of 30 advocates and champions to assist the Black Business Initiatives efforts to increase business

 

Legislative Issues

Participate in advocacy issues that impact black-owned businesses

 

Communications

  • Promote business opportunities with the goal of obtaining $1 million in new business with members and highlight procurement opportunities available with the county, city, state and federal government.
    • Create ease of access to information and resources and incorporate Black Business Initiative highlights and successes accomplished through quarterly report cards
    • Create a business tracking method to identify ethnicity within the Chamber for the purpose of creating business partnerships for mutual benefit
    • Expand Black Business Initiative’s web page to increase member participation
    • Enhance Black Business Initiative member community involvement highlighting active members participation through Chamber communication channels

 

Business to Business

  • Host business to business events around South Florida that unite black businesses to the Chamber’s Black Business Initiatives, Small Business and Nonprofit Business Committees to obtain measurable results
  • Collaborate with other organizations in hosting networking events
