Leadership Americas Goals

Analyze and explore business opportunities in Asia:
• Host Asia Summit in spring 2012

Conduct up to four forums focused on international opportunities targeting South Florida’s top trading partners in both goods and services.

Work with local organizations to coordinate inbound missions to enhance business opportunities for members.

Coordinate with trade offices and other local multipliers to organize pre-mission briefings so that participants are better prepared to take advantage of in-country opportunities and are aware of challenges as they travel to international destinations.

Host the fifth annual International Business Leadership Awards and Americas Linkage Conference increasing participation from abroad by five percent:
• Utilize contacts made during the Americas Linkage outbound missions
• Include award category recognizing company outside the United States

Committee Description

The Leadership Americas Committee focuses on developing business opportunities for all Chamber members by bringing government and business leaders from the hemisphere to engage in discussions related to best practices in leadership, international trade, security, energy and mitigation of natural and man-made disasters.

The Committee also serves as a platform to connect our members with public and private organizations throughout the hemisphere, providing an exchange of information and ideas, in which participants gain cross-cultural understanding of the issues and problems that each country faces.
