Public Policy, Political Outreach and Regional Partnership Goals

Act as a convener for the business community to foster collaboration and address business issues with one voice:
• Reach out to, and work with, partners on a local, regional and statewide basis
• Establish an “urban coalition” with key metropolitan areas on advocacy of issues of mutual importance -- schedule three meetings a year (before, during, and after State Legislative Session) with targeted urban centers across the state

Execute Tallahassee and Washington, D.C. Fly-ins addressing priority areas such as immigration, trade, education, transportation, banking and health care:
• Partner with Chamber substantive committees on issues that impact the business community to develop a prioritized advocacy agenda and continue to engage them in support of ongoing joint initiatives such as the potential for the Miami-Orlando Segment of high speed rail, education funding, immigration, trade and other critical issues affecting South Florida’s economic drivers, anchor institutions and small businesses

Recruit and promote increased active business participation in advocacy activities by 25 percent.

Actively engage and inform our elected officials on high priority issues for the business community.

Advance principles of corporate social responsibility with Chamber members to include diversity and inclusion and sustainability.
