Real Estate Goals
Provide access to timely, relevant and up to date real estate industry information through various initiatives such as educational forums, workshops, expert panel discussions, regular meetings, guest speakers and website content.
Establish a sub-committee to address the unique needs of the commercial real estate sector which may include issues related to the securitization of commercial real estate mortgage backed pools, preventative measures to minimize the meltdown of the commercial market (such as the residential market experienced), providing opportunities for owners and tenants of commercial space and addressing the new "right-sizing" concept.
Collaborate with outside entities (such as Builders Association of South Florida, Latin Builders Association, Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches, Downtown Development Authority and higher learning institutions), as well as other Chamber committees, and engage them to provide opportunities and solutions to members, students and/or other professionals in the real estate industry by hosting relevant events that are mutually beneficial.
Continue stakeholder engagement started by the Workforce Housing Committee to address fractured condo’s, short sale solutions (as it relates to the commercial market), and the affordability gap for Miami-Dade’s workforce.
