Technology & Bioscience Goals
Grow the annual Technology Leaders of the Year Awards by 10 percent.
Host quarterly events which educate both Chamber members and the South Florida business community about the following, while providing quality networking opportunities:
• Using technology to add value to a business
• New developments in the South Florida technology industry
• New developments in the South Florida bioscience industry
• South Florida’s technology entrepreneurial movement
Continue expanding collaborative efforts with other South Florida technology and bioscience organizations:
• Recruit new technology and bioscience organizations to become active Chamber members
• Coordinate and promote the South Florida technology industry
• Coordinate and promote the South Florida bioscience industry
• Coordinate and promote the South Florida technology entrepreneurial movement
• Catalogue South Florida’s technology assets, i.e., people, places and things
Continue efforts to attract and co-host a major national or international technology industry event or initiative to South Florida by year-end 2012.
Committee Description
Create a venue that fosters networking opportunities and a forum of discussion on technology related topics relevant to the local business community, Greater Miami Chamber members, and the region at large. Technology Leaders of the Year Awards.
Technology Leaders of the Year Awards
The Technology Leaders of the Year Awards are to recognize individuals who guide the effective use of information technology to improve his/her company's business performance and have had a positive impact in the community. Eligible nominees include CIOs, Chief Technology Officers, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, IT Directors and Managers from a cross section of user and vendor companies and their IT divisions, including but not limited to professionals in network management, database management, contract
