Natural Resources Goals

Continue to educate the business community on the issues and benefits of sustainability and provide a special focus on high level policy issues at the state and federal levels:
• Restart “Green Tips” in NewsBreak on a monthly basis
• Develop six programs on sustainability continuing the successful “Green Ham & Eggs” and “Inspiring Green Ideas”  workshops

Educate and interface with other committees and entities on initiatives/issues that demonstrate overlap and potential synergies:
• Work with Transportation and Real Estate Committees to develop growth management/smart growth workshop
• Meet with other committee chairs to discuss including sustainability issues and discussions in their programming

Support and encourage the efforts of Miami-Dade County and other municipalities to implement their sustainability plans, as appropriate to potential business community impact:
• Hold a forum to discuss the county’s GreenPrint Program
