Advocacy Center
ADVOCACY GROUP
The Advocacy Group of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce is charged with the development and promotion of public policy positions at the local, state and federal government levels. The group also cultivates and strengthens relationships between the Chamber membership and elected officials across all levels of government. It hosts initiative programs in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C. and sponsors local events on current and public affairs.

The Advocacy Group works in conjunction with the Chamber’s substantive committees for the development of its State and Federal Legislative Packages on issues that impact Greater Miami's community as a business center, including but not limited to: transportation, healthcare, workforce development and retention, education, environment, insurance, growth management and smart urban development, disaster recovery/business continuity, economic development, tourism and free trade.

As a regional Chamber that promotes sustainable economic development in South Florida one of the most important and direct ways to achieve this is through advocacy, on behalf of the business community, with full participation of our membership.
