2018 Health Care Heroes Awards Honor South Florida Health Professionals

Health Care Heroes 2018

The 21st Annual Health Care Heroes awards was a celebration of the health care professionals who have made great contributions to the health care system of South Florida. 

Dr. Mary Bartlett Bunge, PhD, was the recipient of the AXA Advisors Lifetime Achievement Award. Recently retired, Dr. Bunge is known for her storied career in central nervous system regeneration. For the past 28 years, Dr. Bunge worked at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where her work with the Schwann cells will serve as the as a guide for future trials at The Miami Project.
