INDUSTRY HEAVY HITTERS WEIGH IN ON SOUTH FLORIDA’S ECONOMY

Tomorrow: 2012 South Florida Economic Summit

Hear discussions about the 2012 economic outlook for South Florida as business leaders offer insight and perspective into the region’s key economic industries during the Chamber’s half-day Economic Summit – panel discussions will focus on healthcare, banking, financial services, retail, travel and tourism, international trade, real estate and construction. Nighttime Closure of Eastbound State Road (SR) 836, January 11-20

All eastbound traffic on SR 836/Dolphin Expressway will be detoured to southbound SR 826 from Wednesday, January 11 through Friday, January 20 (excluding Sunday) between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. to allow the contractor to place bridge segments over SR 836. The SR 826 southbound ramp to eastbound SR 836 will also be closed during this time frame. Double lane closures will begin at 9 p.m. on eastbound SR 836. The British Airways London Games Charity Series Kick-Off, January 20

British Consul-General Kevin McGurgan OBE and the British American Business Council Miami invite you to a cocktail reception to meet representatives and Olympians from the Skandia (Team GBR British Sailing Team). Help Spread the Word - Bank of America Student Leaders Application Deadline: January 25

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s Student Leaders Program is accepting applications for the 2012 program. The program helps students gain a greater understanding of how nonprofits create impact in the community and develops them as the next generation of community leaders through two components: a summer eight-week paid summer internship and a student leadership summit in Washington, D.C.
