Greetings!

We hope you will plan to join us at the 2008 Greater Miami Chamber Goals Conference, May 30 & 31 at the beautiful Doral Golf Resort and Spa, a Marriott Resort. The goals Conference is Miami’s largest business retreat, attracting more than 1,000 area business leaders.

The two-day conference begins with workshops on Friday morning that offer members a chance to lead the Chamber with new ideas to advance our community. At noon we will hold our fourth annual South Florida “Good to Great” Awards Luncheon, showcasing the best of South Florida’s Businesses. Atlantic University and former Head Coach of the 1983 National Champion Miami Hurricanes, will be our keynote speaker.

After an afternoon of workshops on topics ranging from small business to technology and workforce housing, we will come together for a fun evening of Mojitos and Martinis to network and exchange ideas.

Saturday morning we will celebrate the efforts of everyone who worked to advance the Chamber during the 2007-2008 year in the Goals Conference General Session and celebrate the contribution of Chairman Hank Klein of Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, Inc. The hallmark of this session each year is a video program produce by Multivision Video & Film that provides a showcase of the year in review. We will welcome our new Chairman Carlos Fernandez-Guzman of BankUnited and hear his vision for the new Chamber year. Following lunch, we are back to workshops to tackle topics like advocacy and education.

At noon, we gather for our “Spotlight on Capitol Hill” Luncheon that provides insight into key issues facing our community and our nation.

We will wrap up the conference with our third annual “A Salute to Miami’s Leaders” Reception and Dinner where we recognize the best of the Chamber’s Leadership Miami alumni. The evening’s top award, the Henry Flagler Award for Vision, will be presented to Miami-Dade College President Dr. Eduardo Padron.

This year’s conference will truly be a one of a kind event. We need your energy, passion and vision. And, most importantly we need your participation.

We look forward to seeing you as we celebrate the Chamber’s achievements and make plans to help build a stronger and more vibrant Greater Miami.
