Dear members,

Just recently, I returned from an extraordinary Fly-In to Tallahassee to advocate for priority issues on behalf of our business community at the state capital. Chairman Roberto Muñoz, Chair-Elect Amy Furness,4 and I were joined by the largest group of delegates in the history of The Chamber. I want to thank Alex Dominguez and Giovanni Castro, along with The Chamber's Vice President of Governmental Affairs Matthew Monica, who led our Governmental Affairs Committee, for a successful mission.

On leadership, our Chair, Roberto Muñoz, was inducted into the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Alumni Hall of Fame, along with Kentanji Brown Jackson, Albert Dotson, Jr., Gerald C. Grant, Jr., James Haj, Udonis Haslem and Madeline Pumariega. We are proud to celebrate with them.

In addition, Antonio "Tony" Argiz, Christine Barney, Armando Codina, Carlos R. Fernandez-Guzman, Carlos A Migoya, Roberto Muñoz, Hector Ponte, Madeline Pumariega, Gene Schaefer, William D. Talbert III, David Whitaker, and myself, were recognized among the South Florida Business Journal's 2023 Top 250 Power Leaders.

Furthermore, The Chamber relaunched its Senior Executive Orientation® Program, with a wonderful group of C-Suite Executives and three Consuls General; and the Spring Cohort of Leadership Miami® Class 44 had its opening session.

The first Trustee Luncheon of the year brought together Bo Boulenger, Julio Frenk, Matthew Love, and Carlos Migoya, four amazing leaders in the Healthcare sector, who shared their visions about The Future of Healthcare. The County and The Chamber welcomed Rodrick Miller as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council. We look forward to enabling productive partnerships.
