The Wells Fargo Foundation will donate $45,000 to United Way of Broward County and $45,000 to United Way of Miami-Dade County to support the community response to COVID-19 in South Florida. The funding, part of a $300,000 donation to nonprofits across the state, will benefit the United Way of Broward County’s COVID-19 Campaign, which provides assistance to the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population experiencing hardship due to decreased hours or unpaid leave. It will also benefit United Way of Miami-Dade County’s Pandemic Response Fund, which provides emergency assistance to individuals, small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Miami-Dade county. This $90,000 donation is part of the $6.25 million in aid Wells Fargo announced earlier this month to support the domestic and global COVID-19 response.

Year Up South Florida

Year Up South Florida is shifting to a virtual learning environment for its 140+ current students, including over 60 students completing internships with South Florida’s leading employers. To ensure uninterrupted support and access to meaningful career pathways for its young adults, Year Up would be incredibly grateful if the Chamber community would consider supporting the COVID-19 Impact Fund.

Young Arts Foundation
Artist Relief is a new coalition of national arts grantmakers - a coalition that includes  YoungArts. We launched today to provide unrestricted $5,000 relief grants to artists facing dire financial emergencies due to the impact of COVID-19. The coalition is also operating a list of resources for artists, and co-launching the COVID-19 Impact Survey for Artists and Creative Workers, designed by Research Partner Americans for the Arts, to better identify and address the needs of artists moving forward.
